Democrats: focus on these three issues. Give each its own clean, single-topic bill.

1. End the Iran war.

Congress needs to exercise its authority and bring American involvement to an end. Stop arguing over what to call the conflict and work on ending it.

2. End the tariffs.

Stop making American consumers and businesses pay these taxes on imports. Put ending the tariffs in a standalone bill.

3. Ban individual stock trading by presidents and members of Congress.

Write a real ban with clear enforcement and no loopholes. Public officials should serve the country, not trade individual stocks while making decisions that affect their value.

No pork-barrel spending.
No unrelated riders.
No poison pills.

These issues aren’t unanimous, but each deserves a clear vote without unrelated baggage.

Build the votes in both chambers. Get the bills to Trump’s desk. Make him sign them, let them become law without his signature, or veto them and explain why.

If Congress blocks them, let the public see who stood where.
